Annotated Bibliography
- As a team investigate online the following terms. Explain what they are and why they are used. Each team member should post findings on their own Annotated Bibliography page. 
 
- citation-A quotation from or reference to a book, paper, or author 
 
- MLA format- The MLA Style Manual and Guide to Scholarly Publishing (2008) is the third edition of The MLA Style Manual, first published by the Modern Language Association of America in 1985 
 
- Works cited page- 
 
- Annotated bibliography-An annotated bibliography is a bibliography that gives a summary of the research that has been done. It is still an alphabetical list of research sources. 
 
- Quoting-taking what someone says and recognizing them for it 
 
- Paraphrasing- a restatement of a text, passage, or work giving the meaning in another form 
 
- Summarizing- taking a story and giving a shorter version containg the main idea 
 
- Plagiarism- unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one's own original work, as by not crediting the author
