  3. Ethos - Credibility, or ethical appeal, means convincing by the character of the author
  4. Pathos - persuading by appealing to the reader's emotions.
  5. Inductive reasoning - generalization; reasoning from detailed facts to general principles
  6. Deductive reasoning - reasoning from the general to the particular (or from cause to effect).
